When a repair cost estimate is enough
For small and minor damage, a repair cost estimate with photo documentation is often sufficient. As a rule of thumb, the minor-damage threshold is around €750. We use your photos to judge whether your damage is above or below it. In the Berlin area, we can also inspect your vehicle on site if you wish.

When a full report is better
If the damage is above the minor-damage threshold, you should not do without a report. Only a full accident damage report includes the replacement value, residual value and diminished value. If we can see from the photos that a report makes sense, we will tell you honestly.
Who pays for the repair cost estimate?
After an accident that was not your fault, the estimate is usually paid for by the other party's insurer. Depending on the case, we clarify in advance whether you pay first or whether we bill the insurer directly after you assign your claim to us.
If you caused the damage yourself, you pay the costs yourself. The fee is approx. €55.

Yes. If the accident was not your fault, you are generally free to choose your garage.
